The key to weight loss is preparation and progression. Preparation is probably where I struggle the most. I have really good weeks and then really bad weeks. The bad weeks I eat foods that are quick, easy and not the most healthy. Leaving me completely inflamed and feeling like crap. So needless to say I was super excited to prep this week. There just comes a time when you get tired of feeling like crap and making the wrong eating choices. Indulging is fine but I did more than indulge I made myself feel like an oompa loompa from Willy Wonka’s Chocolate factory.
My biggest down fall is carbs I love bread and pasta. But slowly learning how to substitute and still suffice my cravings. I am learning to love and embrace quinoa. At first taste it’s not that great but you have to find what suits you. I found I prefer red quinoa it was so good! This week I also pre-boiled my eggs for the week. That way I have no excuse to skip breakfast.Another bad habit of mine. Then finally for my sweet tooth craving I made homemade applesauce. I don’t add any sugar the natural sugars from the apples are just enough for me! Just a little cinnamon, lime juice and water and its amazing. I actually mix it with plain Greek yogurt and chia seeds with granola to create my own little mini parfait, sweet tooth craving gone.Food prep and eating healthy isn’t easy it takes dedication and scheduling. This was my entire Sunday! I am learning to set aside time for me and things that are important to me;physically,mentally and spiritually.
This week was all about me getting back to the basics with food and continuing to progress in making healthier options when it comes to my meal choices.
